Inputlog Version 5

Inputlog can be easily installed on your computer (either 32 or 64 bits, Windows XP, Vista, 7) with the installer program. The installation wizard leads you through the process of installing three components:
1. Microsoft .Net Framework
2. Vstor
3. Inputlog

Normally, Inputlog installs the necessary components automatically. If the program does not run after installation, please check if Microsoft .Net Framework and Vstor have been installed correctly. The security settings of each individual computer might block the automatic installation.

You can also install both components manually:

• Microsoft Framework 4
• VSTOR: Visual studio component

Remark about Windows Vista:
If you experience problems when installing the program in a Windows Vista environment (32 bit) you might experience an installation block that relates to the safety settings of Vista. In order to solve this problem, you need to perform two actions:

Action 1: Change user account control.
1. open 'control panel'
2. select 'user accounts and family safety'
3. select 'user account'
4. click 'turn user account control on or off'
5. clear the checkbox of 'use user account control (UAC) to help protect your computer'
Remark: Don't forget to re-activate this option after using Inputlog. Activating this option is safer for your computer.

Action 2: Change the property settings of Inputlog.
1. right click the Inputlog icon on your computer and select 'properties' from the pop-up menu
2. in the properties window click 'compatibility'
3. under 'privilege level' check the 'run this program as an administrator' button
4. click 'OK' to exit
